Granddaughter and I were shopping for Mardi Gras accessories at the local Dollar Tree recently when she spotted crochet kits in the craft aisle. She chose one. Then she picked up another because she wanted me to make one for her baby sister, whose arrival is expected in a few short months. It warmed my heart to see her thoughtfulness and love towards her sister, whom she only has met in her imagination thus far. I have only one child, so I have never experienced the anticipation of a child awaiting her siblings. What a gift it is to share in her delight.

As for the crochet kits, believe it or not, they cost a mere $1.25, come with everything one needs, and are adorable. The finished toys are about 5 inches in height.

What could be better than the love of a grandchild? Maybe the love of two.
