August 3 is the day she was scheduled to arrive, and what a balm in Gilead she turned out to be.

When a person comes here, to this planet, what does one say in welcome? The song that comes to mind for me is Broken People by Jane’s Addiction. A person must learn to be here in spite of the world’s absurd brokenness. There is no fixing it. But one can also say, I love you, and show it through actions because words without action are devoid of meaning.
