I finally finished this wool sweater vest that I had been knitting forever. I had to rip out the same rows numerous times because of a maroon mistake I kept making. (It’s pronounced moron, you maroon!)

I did make this vest for myself – I felt it was high time, even though I finished during a heat wave and won’t be able to enjoy this piece for months.

The pattern is “Sequoia” by Alegria DaSilva and can be downloaded free of charge on Ravelry.

Heidi gave me the wool for my birthday – Cascade Ecological Wool – and I absolutely love it! It is soft, pliable, and easy to work, and so very pretty. (Thank you, Heidi Sue!)

My dilemma now is what project to work next? I have rusty chairs to paint, trees to plant, a manuscript to edit, more knitting. Maybe I’ll be lazy and just listen to the birds and watch the sun today.
