Ugly morning
Lucifer’s wife
Snatches a soul
Then runs away.
Ugly people.

Nothing will change (how I feel).

Do your dance (as the world burns).
Sing your song (into your pillow).
Sip your tea (from a chipped china cup).
Kiss the moon (from a nightmare).
Wait for the dream (from a crucible).

Nothing will end (my love).

Agony on the water.
Flagellation in the air.
She wears the thorny crown of Childhood.
She carries the cross of Womanhood.
He crucifies Motherhood,
Then wipes her face with a veil.

Nothing will ease (my dolor).

It will be done
on earth as it is in hell.
Ugly people.

The ride is free.
Not free of pain.
I don’t mean that ugly.
