Trees are things of beauty.
Look at this being, standing over there to the side, unassuming, in the very shadow of of the famous Notre-Dame de Chartres cathedral. It gets very little notice, unlike the cathedral.
This being’s shell may be rough and lumpy, but other lifeforms call it home. No, this being could never be created by human hands – not like the cathedral.
This being has the Creator’s magnificent spirit written all over it. The Creator is evident here, too, not just in the cathedral.
We would not exist if not for trees and their air purifying, soil retaining, climate stabilizing work. They sacrifice their lives to build our homes, allow us to write, light our fires. They provide us with fruit, nuts, medicine, and maple sugar. They are amazing beings in their own right. We owe trees dignity and respect and should never take lightly the act of cutting one down. I love trees. xx
Well said, Karen! I agree. ❤
