Granddaughter asked for a rainbow cardigan last summer. I rummaged around and found a pattern that I had used before and got to work. It took longer than I wanted, so it became her spring sweater and that’s ok because the yarn I chose is lightweight and cozy. Perfect for a Southern girl during the season of frost vs. balm.

The pattern is made for adult sizes, but I used a smaller needle and lighter yarn to downsize for a child. Following are the details for my Granddaughter’s sweater.

Pattern: Picot Boo Cardigan, Stitch Nation by Debbie Stoller

Yarn: Berroco Ultra Wool Handpaint 100%  Superwash Wool, Color 33304B, 3 skeins

Trim – leftover yarn in pink, worsted weight

3.75 mm Circular Needles

I hope y’all are enjoying spring, even if it hasn’t arrived yet where you are.
