Camellias on a Misty Morning

06 Thursday Dec 2012

The birds were singing this misty morning on the bayou. It was my eyes that did most of the listening, however. Camellias – draped in the fog – welcomed the new day, affirming that grey days don’t have to be dreary days.

Camellia

These pretty little gifts from nature reminded me of the reasons why autumn is my favorite season.

Camellia (5)

~the smell of wood burning in fireplaces
~brown all around dappled with shades of pink

Camellia (3)

~sweaters and football and weekend gatherings
~my one and only’s birthday

I hope all of you are having a lovely autumn.

~Stacy
