Grief

Thoreau spent two years in the woods. He did this for a reason, you know.

I would stay away for two years, too, but I have another life to live. So when the Shadow threatens to purloin Joy from my soul, I venture outside for solace offered by the universe. Like a sunset.

Oh, how the sun smoothed my ruffled humanity tonight as it sank behind my bayou cabin!

Summer Sunset (2)

Cotton-candy pink means that everything will be all right – at least for one night.

Summer Sunset

“Red skies in the morning,
Sailors take warning.
Red skies at night,
Sailors sleep tight.”

Sleep tight, Gentle Reader, but not before you go outside. ♥
