Spring seems to have arrived a little late in the Bayou State. We’ve built fires to stave the chill recently, and I don’t remember ever having to do that in April.
In spite of the chill, signs of spring are popping up everywhere – just in time to encourage the winter-weary spirit to venture outdoors.
This is not the time to stand at the window and gaze. It’s time to open the door.
Can this be real? Or is it all just part of the Grand Illusion?
You have to cross the threshold to find the truth.
Life burgeons everywhere – out there. Participate or observe. You decide.
Just step through the door. Just do.
Your posts mae me look forward to Spring. : )
Funny you should say that – I just started a fire for yet another (surprise) cool front! ❤
Your spring looks to be about where ours is in IN. (That’s kind of weird, isn’t it?) Love the picture of the daffodils. They are one of my (many) favorite flowers.
This garden is not really mine…yet…we just moved here last fall, and I’m still discovering what was planted before I got here. Slowly, I will make it my own. ❤
Love the bright colors! Waiting for spring to arrive here – we keep getting little glimpses and some of the grasses are starting to green, but still no leaves on anything.
It’s been a longer than usual wait for us, too….but finally, the colors have begun to pop! ❤
I love your photography, Stacy! It’s beautiful.
Very kind of you to say so, Matthew. Thank you! ❤
You’re welcome! 🙂
Dearest Stacy,
Indeed, we were lagging behind some two weeks I guess but today was lovely, there was sunshine and I’ve made the rounds through our wood garden and observed the blossoms of dogwoods, redbuds and azaleas. Enjoy your week as well and stay cozy.
Hugs,
Mariette

I will do just that, Mariette – everything is popping color! ❤
Beautiful daffodils! Your garden is looking so very yellow and green, such spring-like colours, so I will definitely want to venture outdoors with you. 🙂
Well, I will just have to include you next time, won’t I? ❤
🙂
