As the season changes from warm to cool, thoughts of something cozy for Granddaughter started dancing in my head. I found an updated vintage pattern for a double-breasted duffle coat. Just reverse the front closure and voilà – a coat for a boy.

Size – 18-24 months

Materials – 6 skeins Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino (50g each) in Ruby, 3.75mm (5) and 3mm (2-3) needles, 1 st holder, 10 buttons

Gauge – 24 sts and 36 rows = 4″ on 3.75mm needles

Granddaughter was an uncooperative model today. But I would not have her any other way.
